​

San Francisco Bay Area Geotechnical consulting firm Murray Engineers, Inc. has an opening for an experienced Technical Illustrator to join our team in Spring 2024.

​

Job Responsibilities & Details

​

  • Preparing technical figures for presentation in geotechnical reports and other deliverables

  • Creating and maintaining GIS project database and map overlays for Google Earth

  • Designing and preparing graphics for marketing campaigns (such as LinkedIn posts, email blasts, etc.)

  • Full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation to be commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

​

  • Strong technical illustration and graphic design skills

  • Experience/Proficiency in creating technical report figures and/or engineering drawings

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Excellent organizational and time/workload management skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Acrobat Pro

  • Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications (Ideal, but not Required)

​

  • Experience/Proficiency with AutoCADand/or GIS

  • Working knowledge of web site design/management

  • Experience/Proficiency using Boring GS or other soil boring log drafting software

  • Course work or Associate’s degree (or higher) in graphic design or related field

  • Experience/Proficiency in Developing Digital and Print Media for Marketing Campaigns (e.g. social media posts, email blasts, event invitations, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Approximate Regular Hourly Compensation Range: $35 to $50/hour (depending on experience/performance level)
