We are currently seeking a Junior/Field Engineer, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in the geotechnical consulting field, to join our team. Qualified candidates for the position must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Civil, Geotechnical, and/or Geological Engineering. Prior experience in geotechnical consulting (particularly field investigation and/or construction observation/testing) is preferred, but qualified entry-level candidates will be considered and training can be provided. Candidates must have reliable transportation, maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, prepare technical reports, work well both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy working outdoors. Duties will primarily include field construction observation and testing, logging and sampling of exploratory borings and test pits, field mapping, performing various soil laboratory tests, and preparing technical documents. This is a fulltime, non-exempt position with a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation to be commensurate with experience. We emphasis and encourage continuing education and professional development/advancement . Work in this position can be applied toward State registration requirements for Professional Engineer (Civil).
