JUNIOR ENGINEER/FIELD TECHNICIAN
Qualified candidates for the Junior Engineer/Field Engineer position must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering. Prior experience in geotechnical consulting (particularly field construction observation/testing) is preferred, but qualified entry-level candidates will be considered. Candidates must have reliable transportation, maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, prepare technical reports, work well both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy working outdoors. Duties will primarily include field construction observation and testing, logging and sampling of exploratory borings and test pits, field mapping, performing various soil laboratory tests, and preparing technical documents. Position counts toward State registration requirements for Professional Engineer.
